Dhimiter Canko

I am a PhD student currently working on next-to-next-to-leading order calculations (NNLO) for high energy scattering processes, in the framework of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. In order to test our comprehension of nature in a significant way we need the theoretical calculation of scattering amplitudes in an accuracy similar to the experimental one. The high-luminosity LHC at CERN will require the most precise theoretical predictions for the scattering amplitudes. NNLO and in several cases NNNLO calculations will be of paramount importance to achieve the required precision. Pursuing this ultimate goal within my dissertation I study the systematization of the way of finding the Canonical Basis of Master Integrals for a given two-loop family, and the extension of the OPP method for one-loop amplitudes to the next order.

Nikolaos Syrrakos

My name is Nikolaos Syrrakos and I am a PhD student currently working on calculating next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) corrections to scattering processes that are produced in high energy colliders, such as the LHC at CERN. The topic of my dissertation is the computation of two-loop Master Integrals with the method of differential equations. Following the LHC upgrade to High Luminosity-LHC, very precise theoretical predictions for scattering cross sections will be required to match the experimental accuracy, in order to determine any discrepancy between theory and experiment. A key ingredient of the required theoretical predictions is the computation of two-loop Master Integrals for the relevant scattering processes.
